This is detail of the center of Kings River to the left The trick to getting the water is to layer it over and over. You have to look deep into the water and paint that first and then figure out how to make more on top of it without totally covering up the deeper layer. Working with very thin colors is essential. I also let the layers dry in-between and keep a sponge handy in case I have to wipe off what I just put down. That's one of the beauties of acrylics. I can't wait to try this falls in oils though.
