This painting is on large canvas frame and looks 3D from the side.
This is an area at Natural Bridges National Monument. Gordon I spent 3 summers working for the National Park Service and we got to explore some wonderful areas. We both love White Canyon and Cedar Mesa in general. In 2007 I worked as a volunteer at Hovenweep NM, a sister park to Natural Bridges. I've yet to finish a painting from that area but its in the works.

This painting I gifted to Tom Maly Jan08 to celebrate his experiences with a injured barred owl who survived.
20 x22 this is the acrylic version. I decided I didn't like how dark it was and am doing it over in oils. When I finish the new version I'll post it.
